Tomorrow I will be moving my girls down to their new renovated coop.

Should I leave them locked up in the coop itself for a few days, as in.. no yard time.
Or should I just go ahead and let them have full run of the place?
They are just about 8 weeks old-ish. Maybe a tad bit under.
I just don't wanna stress them out or throw too much "new-ness" at them in one go.

Thanks in advance for any info. =)

Leave them in the coop for a week till they get used to it and think of it as home, the place to go to sleep etc. That way they will want to go home to it at night. Your right not to stress them more than you have to, chickens don't like stress much.

I have a chicken tractor with a small detachable run. When I moved my girls outside I kept them in the coop for 3 days then allwed them access to the enclosed run. Then in a week or so I let them outside to run and peck throughout the yard when supervised. They did fine and definately think of their coop as home. If you dont have an enclosed run you may want to stick to confining them for a full week in the coop though.
