Tonight I put out my newest four chickens and they are 8 weeks old. I have had them in a brooder in the garage but their "annex" is now finished and I wanted the space in my garage back. I too worried about my little gals...but I know that it really isn't that cold here in CA, as it hasn't dipped below 38 at all, and the days have been up to 60 this past week.

Still, I have already been outside three times with my lantern checking on them. It's now 8:30pm and all is quiet out there, but I will probably check on them one more time before 10!
