First Pip - Then how long?

After a chick makes the first visible pip, how long before it should be hatched out completely? I am so worried about this batch, they've been through alot.

It can vary so much...I've had eggs that I never even saw the pip.....all of a sudden there was zipping and a chick or I've also had them pip and 24+ hours later they were still the same way.

Cammie I have gone 36 hours from Pip To Zip and I have had them hatch in about 4 hours. I swear they are in there laughing at me till I leave the bator and them they make a mad dash for it.

That's how I feel.

Thanks guys, I really already do feel better. With my last batch I had one chick that sat there with a tiny pip for 3 days before I intervened. He's a big healthy boy now, but I felt bad for leaving him for so long!
