We were gone for 4 days over Christmas and when we got home I had 2 eggs from one of my EE pullets that I hatched this past summer. New eggs! Yeah! It hasn't been above freezing in a couple weeks and in the teens at night, but that hasn't stopped little Peep!

Quote:Wish we could leave for 4 days . Don't have anyone that can pick eggs or feed them while we'd be gone .... and we are picking around 2 dozen eggs a day . Sure don't want them accidently breaking the eggs and perhaps eating them . Once that starts its hard to break ....

What did you do regarding feeding while gone ?

The little egg is green. I have 4 of them now. One has a few brown spots. We have a couple of friends that come over and take care of our animals whenever we are gone.
