[IMG] I am very happy to announce my first set of three silkies has hatched!

They were in an r-com3, all automated. All are white I think, but one has no vault, one has a medium vault and one has a huge vault! I wonder if there is any reason for the size, like male or female?

I called the local co-op and they recommend vaccinating for Marek's and then treating as needed for all other illnesses like pox, worms etc.

These are my first chickens, and I am feeling a bit like a mom who has had triplets- have I bitten off more than I can chew?

You had better be careful! Silkies are will find yourself carrying them around and hand feeding them when they are 10 weeks old! I do, and they are the sweetest chicks ever! I bring one of mine in the house and she sits in a basket and watches us eat dinner! Not spoiled at all...........[IMG]
