I took my sweethearts, Greta (Easter Egger), Goldie (Rhode Island Red) and Theda (Plymouth Barred Rock) out to free range a bit yesterday, when the picture was taken, and today. I didn't keep them out long either day because I know they need to be warm, but I figured a little sunlight and outdoors won't hurt them. Today I found three small earthworms under pots to give the girls and Greta was the first to try one. She did the cutest "Look what I have" dance in circles! Then she went up to her sisters by other mothers to flaunt her stuff until they started ti chase her. I gave Goldie and Theda each an earthworm and they both enjoyed theirs with quieter enthusiasm. I am hoping they are all girls. I think the one I am most concerned about is Theda. Does she have too much white to be a female? I think her little white fluffy butt is the cutest! I almost don't mind checking for pastiness on her. However, I read that the more white, the more likely it is male. Any opinions on Theda are appreciated.
