It is currently winter here around 25 degrees each day. I noticed a few days ago a chicken was acting tired, thought nothing of it and it slowly got worse, figured she was going through growing since she’s about 7-8 months old. Yesterday I really noticed how bad she was as she let me approach and pick her up without fuss, knew something was wrong but since it was evening I figured I’d let her sleep and check her out in the morning. Sure enough found her puffed up inside the coop with the mist misrible look on her face. I panicked like natural and separated her at once. Did a full checkup and no mites, lice, or anything wrong with crop. I waited till she pooped and referenced an online chart to diagnose it. Roundworms. I plan to get medication tomorrow to treat them. She is sleepy, puffed a bit, doesn’t eat, and makes me give her drinks. I put her in a dog cage in the garage with heat, water, and food. Hope she’ll be alright, please let me know if you have any suggestions! I plan to treat the WHOLE flock and put her back in when it’s cured. I know it’s caused some times by dirty coops and runs, I do my best to keep it cleaned I don’t know how this could have happened 🤔 oh well, pictures included. The breed is calico princess and she does have a feather mutation to were feathers grow in her let’s and feet haha

Purchase Valbazen liquid cattle/sheep wormer and dose each chicken orally 1/2ml using a syringe without a needle. Repeat again in 10 days. It will eliminate all types of poultry roundworms.
Valbazen slowly kills worms over several days, no need to worry about dead worm overload.

She died. Woke up this morning to a dead chicken. Sigh 😔
