Well, my Lucky duck (I had to help her hatch bc she had pipped at the wrong end a while back)... She decided she wanted to become a momma and kept sitting on her eggs. Her eggs never wound up being fertile (yes, I have a male duck and water for them to mate). So, I decided to give her some silkie eggs, just to see what would happen. Well, the other day, low and behold... she became a momma. To a beautiful & fluffy silkie baby chicken. She has been an A+ momma since the baby hatched and I couldn’t be prouder!
