Two weeks ago I had sick chicks and finally broke down and took them to the vet. They are all doing wonderful after having their medication, one is still on the mend but is finally feeding herself and walking around. It made everything I've been through with them worth it when they came out into the run on their own for the first time yesterday and that night they put themselves to bed on their roost. It's the coolest thing.

    It's official. I think I'm a chicken geek. [IMG]

ours just started putting themselves to bed this week, it is pretty cool [IMG] we trained them to come inside when we turned on the light, but they've decided to come in on their own at dusk without the light, they still want a treat when we close the coop door, but it is well deserved since we don't have to chase them inside.
