first time hen owner any ideas on breed or age anyone

    got her at a poultry market wondering what age is she and maybe a breed type..sweet docile hen...[​IMG]

    Will you take a picture of her wing fully spread out? You can tell age some what by doing this.

    I don't think she's pure anything. Maybe a project bird or just a happy accident--she looks beautiful!

    From the comb I'm thinking not laying yet, maybe four months or so? She looks pretty developed overall.

    You're making me want to go to the auction next week lol.

    She has the same feathers on her tailfeather as in her wings

    Well what I was trying to get at is if she has any of her teenager feathers left on wings she is still young.

    She still is shedding off feathers from her belly daily ....ill try n post better picks im hopingshell lay soon lmao
     
  10. Beautiful! Looks like a hen. Possibly a black tailed Japanese mix. Does she have any feathers on her legs?
