Hi everyone I'm new here! I have decided to try and get some eggs hatched but I would love some tips. The reason I'm starting is because my adorable silkie bantam rooster died yesterday, he meant the world to me, he was my first chick I had I even named him, Dean. I would love and hope that I have baby chicks that look like him. So again please if anyone has helpful tips please share![IMG]

Welcome! [IMG] I am really sorry about Dean, I know that it must have been really sad. If you have any questions about chickens/chicks please feel free to ask me!

Awww so sorry about Dean :( do you have an incubator or a broody hen? where would you like to start first? in my signature below are a bunch of links and we are here to help you get started! we have some tricks to keep it simple too! if you want to follow along on some chicks hatching right now, come join in the fun with the halloween hatch along happening right now, chicks are hatching right and left, just pop on the thread and say hello and tell them I sent you over and let them know about dean and your intentions to incubate! Here is that link, you will enjoy incubation!
this will get you started to meet a bunch of hatchers, new and experienced!
