We are hatching our first set of chicks and don't know when to take the chicks out of the incubator and into the brooder box

Most folks let the hatchlings dry out, fluff up, get active, then transfer them to the brooder. There's no rush.

Is it ok for mama to hold them. Its killing her to see those cute little babies and not take them out and snuggle them

After they dry out and fluff up, by all means, indulge yourselves.
