My EE has been sitting a nest (10 eggs) and they started hatching yesterday. Two babies were out in the rain - still wet but alive and out of the nest box. I picked them up and tucked one under each of her wings. I went back an hour later and the little yellow one was dry and chirping. I didn't want to disturb her too much as she is still sitting eggs. Can I safely remove her to check on baby chicks and eggs without squashing either?

I would just move her over a little to look underneath her. Ive done this before with my sitting mother duck, she just hisses alot. [IMG]
If you dont move her too much, it will be fine.

    Hope this helps! [IMG]
