I'm having a ball raising 9 girls and 3 boys. So far at least! I brought them home at a week old and they are now 6 months. As they grew and showed their stuff... they got named, one after another. My hens are Ms. Beasley, Brandy,Daisy,Penelope,Hannah,Dora,Jezabel and Goldilocks. My roos are Stedman, Stanley and Raider. Raider is the boss! Oh by the way...Stanley and Goldilocks are Serena's.

Welcome to BYC! Glad you decided to join our flock. Love your names. We used to have some Black Silkies and they were delightful, little chickens; sweet, friendly, and funny. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your flock.

You mean Seramas - my friend has two serama hens but she insists the breed is called
salamis. They look like furry soccer balls and are real characters - they boss the dog around and kick him out of his dog bed. Hers are silkie feathered, but it's just flat feathers doesn't look like silkie feathers at all.

There is a very good American Serama thread on here - you could put that in the search box and it will pop up. Same for Silky Thread.

Glad you joined the flock [IMG]
