First Time Outside

I’m transitioning my chicks outdoors for a few hours at a time... Do I need to provide grit/oyster shell along with their medicated feed if they’re eating grass, bugs, etc.?

Hi, how old are your chicks? Will they be on soil or sand/gravel while they are out and about?
If you are concerned, by all means give them some free choice grit/shell, and if they need it, they will peck some up. In general, it is a free choice supplement. Otherwise, they will likely pick up bits of gravel or sand while browsing, and that will help grind up the fun things they'll have to eat.

Grit, yes.

Oyster shell is for layers, chicks should not eat any until they're either laying or very close to laying.
