Ok. I did not really kill this roo. My dog did something to it. There were no visable marks, maybe he ran it into the barn and the roo broke his neck. Anyway I was out there, I just did not see it. So. I cleaned it. Will there be a problem that it did not bleed much? I soaked it overnight in cold water in the fridge.
Yep. No bad smells during processing or anything. It was so easy. ETA: He was about 20 weeks old. I was going to do them all myself in 2 weeks.

If it was me, I'd cut it up and soak again, in salt water. As long as it wasn't dead too long before you got to process it - - -
Thanks. He was a Marans. I was out there when the dog got after the roos. I was letting about 12 freerange. I am going to bake him up tomorrow with some potatoes and carrots. Now thanks to trial by fire, I am brave enough to do the rest. Thanks for all the good information on this forum. I have been studying.
If you have a good dutch oven - cast or stainless - that is oven safe, I tell ya, it's the way to with the dual purpose type! You get the benefit of the fabulous drippings on your taters and carrots - it's beyond delicious!
