first time silkie owner

    I just brought home 4 silkie chicks! Very excited but I am looking for any advice on caring for them. I have a flock of 12 hens and 1 rooster already and want to know if there is anyting about silkie care that is different.

    I have 4 silkies and have done nothing different. I have just followed the general chicken info here. These are my first and I am looking to add some larger hens soon but need to wait for warmer weather to add on to coop and run so I can keep separated for a while. Love my silkies and their little eggs

    I had some issues with some of my hens and roo's bullying my 2 silkies. I think it depends on the breed of your other chickens. you have 4 so my guess is they will tend to stick together. just make sure they are allowed to eat when they go in with hour other chickens.
