Okay so I'm a first timer as far as incubating chicken eggs so I filled my incubator a lg still air that I installed a PC fan in and I'm hand turning just candled eggs for day 7 with my daughter and wow everyone of the 47 eggs are growing have embryos with little black eyes and move around like fruit in jello so cute I'm so ready for hatch day even if none of the chicks hatch at this point just seeing my 13 yo daughter away from her laptop and cell phone made this the best 40 bucks ever spent

400
not the best pic but its all I could get

Great job. My 11 yr old son really enjoyed doing this with me few times last spring/summer. We built a cooler bator. He helped the first round then I let him be in charge of second time. He was very proud of his hatch. I know what you mean about getting them away from the electronic world. Good luck

Thanks!!! We originally built a incubator out of a 10 gallon fish aquarium and our yorkie decided to unplug it and chew the cords with 11 eggs in it my daughter found it and flipped out so we ran to tsc and bought a incubator ( I don't know where my mind was spend 40 bucks to save 3 bucks worth of eggs) moved eggs over plus an additional 3 dozen a friend gave us lol looking back I feel a little crazy for spending the money but she's been all about time to turn them and watching the temp next project is she's going to help me fence in a half acre for when the chickens get old enough to leave the brooder :) more daddy daughter time and no electronics during those times
