Well I dunno if I got the right ones but I bit the bullet and ordered some chicks!!!
In my book any chicks is the right ones, congratulations.
They look like winners to me, you nailed it!
congrats on your new chicks.
They're beautiful, congrats!
Here's the run down of what I ordered! I hope I didn't confuse them with another breed and get some that are mean. I do have one that seems to be a bully not sure what's up her vent! poor humor sorry! And all should be cold hardy unless I'm mistaken.
And props to Meyer hatchery! All arrived alive and well seem to be pretty healthy!
Yup, those all should handle chilly weather quite nicely, and love the choices!
Nice variety. There's always a lead chicken, even when young. The strongest survive. I haven't owned any breeds that aren't winter hardy.
So I'm a first timer myself and am curious if you're supossed to give chicks electrolytes from the start as a general rule or only if they don't seem happy and healthy?
I will give it to shipped chicks for up to a week to help them recover, ones I hatch I don't bother with it.
