Our chicks are 2 1/2 weeks old and today is a gorgeous hot day so they got to have a little day trip! Fun times!!

That's the age I took mine out - and they love it. Once it was consistently nice (so at about 4.5-5 weeks for us), we gave them some shade, food and water and have just left them out all day.

The real trick is getting them to go back in the brooder! Definite grump fest when its bedtime at ours.
