Went to clean out the nest boxes and found our first 2 eggs. Don't know who the culprit was. I do know they were good fried up with some bacon and put on a biscuit. [IMG] They better be good, I figured up how much they cost, and it was shocking. LOL

    Hi Ian,

    Congratulations on your first eggs.

I'm curious, do you know what the parents of the white sex-link are? What color eggs does it lay? Thanks.

I believe I was told that it was a white leghorn hen and a RIR rooster. I'm not certain to tell ya the truth. The eggs were browns, but I don't know what hen laid them.

Thanks that is soooo interesting. I have a facination with sexlink hens because they are such good layers. (or at least the ones I know of first-hand and second-hand.) ---

Yes it is expensive but so satisfying when you finally see the fruits of all the labor.[IMG]

    Congrats.

Got another mid-morning today. I'm fairly sure it's the white SL. Caught her in the box.[IMG]
