The weather here has been crap for WEEKS, but last Saturday we finally had a gorgeous, warm day. We brought the chicks out to play and it was awesome. Though my dog grabbed one of the chicks and tried to run off with it

. We discovered the cage we were using wasn't quite smallest-chick-proof so they could squeeze out. My husband managed to save her and she seems fine, thankfully! Gah! It was fine the rest of the afternoon, we would just keep wrangling them back in and we kept my dog IN THE HOUSE.

Here are my girls (at least I hope they're girls!). The BOs were just over 3 weeks old, and the LBs were a week and a half old.

Our "bruiser" Beatrix. She's the biggest and the least skittish.

Our TEENY tiny little Clementine. Trying to escape!

They told me that they marked her for some reason (I didn't catch the reason), but she's SUPPOSED to be a hen. We'll see.
