Went out to check the nests about noon, and there before my eyes was a small egg in one of the boxes. It was whole this time (the two yesterday were broken when I found them) with a small peck mark that hadn't punctured the membrane. I have to say that I was a bit shocked when I looked in and found an egg after so many days of disappointment in the past couple of weeks. Not sure which one laid it, but my guess is one of the Speckled Sussex. Hopefully more of them will pick up speed now that someone is officially going. It tasted delicious.

  2. [IMG] YAY! We're up to three a day... still one holdout.

So far only one soft shelled, the rest were good to go AND in the nest box. How awesome is that?

    I love my girls.
