I have a trio of BR's, 1 tom and 2 hens that are just 1 year old. One hen started laying towards the end of Feb and has mostly laid every other day, sometimes 2 out of 3 days. The other hen started laying much later, lays only about once evey 3 or 4 days and hasn't laid one egg in well over a week now. I gather eggs everyday, so she hasn't been allowed to gather a clutch for more than a few hours, and those would be almost all chicken he has taken to sitting in the nest box rather than roosting lately. Please tell me she's broody and she'll snap outta this any day!!! She gets right out of the box when I want to check for eggs. I just barely touch her and she gets out without making a fuss or really even any noise...
