I have a sneaky suspicion but wanted to see what others think.

Def a rooster. You can tell by his tail feathers and the shiny new hackles and sickles he's growing. Handsome boy. :)

I've already got a rooster that I'm sure came from the seventh circle of hell, so I will be finding a home for this one, which is a shame, because the hens seem fond of him.

If they like him and the other is mean, why keep the mean one?

I'm thinking the same as blaze, why on earth would you keep a mean rooster?

Guilt. I think Birdie was institutionalized (stayed in the small coop too long because I didn't have a bigger one) and therefore he's a little on the "maladjusted" side. But mainly I just feel guilty. Can't stand the thought of killing him. He's coop is 4 x 6 feet, so he's not cramped, but he is Satan's spawn, I'm sure of it.
