Flan Cake (pic)

    Flan Cake

    Preheat Oven to 350 degrees. Spray (metal) bunt pan heavily with Pam.

    Pour 1/4 cup caramel ice cream syrup in bottom of pan.

    Mix 1 yellow cake mix per directions on box

    Pour on top of Carmel in bunt pan.

    Mix in blender:
    4 eggs
    1 large can Eagle Brand Milk (not restaurant size)(sweetened condensed milk)
    1 large can Evaporated Milk (not restaurant size)
    Pour over cake mix in Bunt pan.

    Cook in water bath for 1 hour in preheated oven.

    Take out of oven and let sit in water bath for an additional 15min.

    Cool Cake completely before removing from bunt pan onto platter.

    Was planning on making this for tonight . . . but have a question the OP states:

    "1 large can Eagle Brand Milk (not restaurant size)
    1 large can Evaporated Milk (not restaurant size)"

    ok one can of evaporated . . . what's the other stuff? I have been to three stores and all they have is evaporated and condensed. Do you think it means condensed?

    Made this cake for our early Christmas dinner tonight. It was so simple and turned out so beautiful even I was surprised. Wish I had a camera to show you that mine turned out looking just like the one in the picture of BettyRs post.
