I admit, I'm a city girl, it's my husband who wanted the chickens so I came along "kicking and screaming" to some extent;) This is our first fall to have chickens and now we have flies in the house, it's not extreme, but we've never had this many before in the 12 yrs. we've lived in this house. So, I have two questions, first, could it be the chicken poop in the backyard that's attracting the flies that are wanting in because of the colder weather coming. Second, would DE in the coop and possibly backyard help keep the flies down or at least the "fragrance" that is seeming to be attracting them? TIA for any information and suggestions!
