flipping over backwards chick

I have a chick that hatched last night that has a problem. Its neck extends backwards like it is "star gazing" and it flips over backwards. It can sit up if it is placed in the correct position but as soon as it trys to move it flips over backwards. What is it and is it treatable? Or should I put it out of its misery? Any info is appreciated.

I believe its a vit/mineral problem. On this forum somewhere someone posted a video of a chick with this problem. Their solution was to give the children's vitamin polyvisol, making sure not to let it aspire it. It worked and the chick fully recovered fast. For more information, do a search on stargazing.
