Floating, runny looking yolk when candled…..Info plz

Hey everybody,
First incubator run and needing some info. Here’s the deal. Day 5, 3 breeds of eggs in incubator. 2 of the breeds show picture perfect young development. 12 of the 3rd breed all show the following…Yolk (runny mass with no round form) floats to the top with no sign of any structure. Best way to describe it is that it looks like oil on top of water. If you tilt the eggs it just stays floating on the upturn side. These were shipped and it looks like you had shook them up and busted the yolk. Any advice or info is greatly appreciated!

It sounds as if the eggs were shaken and viability destroyed during the shipping. Can you post pictures? They probably should be removed from the incubator.

I had a few like this, although my eggs weren’t shipped. I didn’t take pics of mine, just stuck them back in for just in case. I’m also on day 5, so I’ll likely toss them after next candiling
