Hi, I am completely new to chickens. I have 18 18 week old chickens. 3 are known roosters, 2 are questionable. The 2 wyandottes ( the questionable roosters) have both been seen crowing, BUT one of the "known" roosters started doing that funky little mating dance with them today.
So here is my question. Are roosters ever wrong with there mating dance? I know that hens CAN crow, but they typically don't when there are roosters present.(?)
Is there ANOTHER dance that roosters do to challenge one another? I've seen them square off, but I'm grasping at straws here. I have not seen the wyandottes attempt to mate anyone, if that helps any.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
