Hey all. We have a flock of turkens available for adoption. There are 5 hens and a roo. The roo is a spectacular mix of bantam turken, a spitzhauben and a rumpless araucana. He is about 3 years old. 2 of the girls are his daughters and are about a year old. The other three are about 4 years old. Two were my first hens. One was rescued from Foster Feed where she was kept in a cage until she was about 5 months old as an oddity. The girls are still laying. The younger ones more so, but the older ones still pump out a few eggs a week. Anyway, we are moving to the far NE corner of WA and I talked to the feed store lady there and she said turkens don't do well there. Actually, I probably will be finding homes for the rest of my chickens soon, but some may go back to their original owners, so as soon they are ok to adopt out, I will post. Contact me if you are interested. I will ask $30 for all of them or 3 bags of layer pellets. These are for pick up only. These are friends not food. Thanks!
