Any recommendations on flooring for a new duck hutch? I've had ducks before and I know that they really love to have water to sit in at night. We used to give ours a kitty litter tray filled with water that they would use as a personal little pond

What kind of flooring is good for keeping things from rotting? I know a wire floor would be an option but it seems so rough on their feet!!

Ideas?

It is elevated off the ground so at this point I can't just do dirt...

Thanks!

I would avoid the water in the hutch all together, it really is not necessary. I nice layer of straw on a sturdy hardware cloth floor will work just fine.

I know that they don't need water but I want them to have it. I think it is really natural for them to sleep in water

I found cedar 1x8's for really cheap today. I think I'm going to use them and see how it goes. If it rots, I'll replace it.

I'm still open to other ideas though!
