I don’t know what to think. She has always been more of an open mouthed breather than the others, but has really been doing some heavy breathing thr last few days. I saw the big rooster mount her three times in 15 minutes and it looks like he’s crushing her, but I don’t know if they could be the reason. She lethargic, her vent is going in and out when she breathes and I included a photo of her poop. She just laid an egg last evening. I see no other signs to indicate illness than the breathing and comb. Please help, she is our sweetest girl, and on,y seven months old.

Where are you located? What's the weather been like? Is it possible she's not able to get enough water due to bullying? Do you have multiple food and water stations? Bright green poop can indicate birds are not eating enough. How long has she been laying? The first 4 to 6 weeks can be difficult as their bodies transition.

It’s been hot, but she has always been the first to open mouth breathe when it’s hot outside. It’s also been very humid. I have water stations everywhere as well as offering cold cucumbers, cantaloupe and watermelon. I can’t remember how long she’s been laying, but probably within six weeks or maybe a bit longer. The poop isn’t green, but the urates see yellow instead of white.
