I added some nuts into the feeder and so far Josey, Agathae, and Dominica will eat from it. Josey and Dominica filled their crops, Agathae not as much though.

Felicitas and Gaby still haven't gotten as much food as I'd like from it. Felicitas just gets shove out of the way, and Gaby is scared of the feeder.

If I step on the treadle to get them to it, all except Gaby will go to eat from it, and all except Gaby and Josey are ok with stepping on the treadle themselves.

I'm excited for the second one to get here, hopefully it'll resolve the issues I'm having with the food-pecking.

Hopefully it stops the harassing, I always like to have many feeding stations. Now that it’s milder I can put the multiple water bowls out again.

Yesterday at around 9 something started calling back in the woods. Pitch black out, here is the sound:
Everyone who listened said it sounded like a dog, but in real life it sounded like a duck! What do you think it is?

So did you find out what it was???

I really wanted those dark chocolate colored eggs from the Norians. I’m going to feed them dark stuff like BOSS, raisins, nut bread, sesame seeds etc.
do you think that will darken their spray booth colors? 🤔
I’m checking to see what they can actually eat safely first!

Don’t think for a minute that it would actually work! :lau

Hello everyone. I know I have been absent too long. I pray everyone is doing well.

I moved out in January and left my computer here at the house. I have a cell and laptop now but I hate typing on them and safari sucks. I will give updates on the flock soon I promise along with life update.

Tonight I come asking for prayers for strength.

The vet is coming out this afternoon to put my baby boy, my knothead, my Dirt the Jerk down. He had a heave flare up 2 weeks ago. He was given his medication to get him through that episode. 2 days later his breathing is perfect. Tuesday Dirt did not want to walk. Got the vet to finally come out Wednesday and he has laminitis in all 4 feet with rotation in 3 out of the 4. My 10 year old baby boy who we have had since he was around 15 months old is suffering and the will to fight is gone. We have no place to bury him in our yard and yesterday a good friend offered to bury him at their place. I came home tonight to say my good byes. I scratched his itchy spot and just held him and cried in his stall. I brought him a whole bag of his favorite life saver's mints and he only ate 1. He just wanted his wither and butt scratches. I scratched him until he was unsteady on his feet and needed to lay down. He would not lay down while I was outside with him. I'm hoping in the morning he will eat his treats for me before I have to go to work. I cannot be here when it is done. I want to be but I just cannot. Mom and Dad will be here for him.

Please keep us and Dirt in your thoughts and prayers.
