I was driving home and the sky was a brilliant pink. I took this photo from the front and by the time I got down the back it had gone.

Napping is my expertise!
Weirdly, I was complimented on "sleeping beautifully" on a flight once. Not weird or creepy at all

Weirder still, have you ever been complimented on your ovaries? 😂 I had that during ultrasounds, strange to hear and how do you respond to that? 🤷🏻‍♀️
Ahhh...thank you...?

Hi friends,
As you know, it’s hard for me to keep up during the work week. However, I wanted to share something. Ruby has been swelling up, and I’ve been meaning to call the avian vet to see if she’ll drain her. I’ve been trying to time it where I don’t have to pay extra for urgent care, but don’t let it go so long Ruby is suffering too much.

Today the avian vet contacted me to let me know they are having an ultrasound training tomorrow, and would I like an ultrasound of Ruby’s belly free of charge? Obviously, I accepted. I asked if they could also drain her, which I’d pay for, and they can do that, too. I’m so happy!

Ruby will accompany me to work, hang out during my (zoom) meeting, go to the vet, and get picked up after my (in-person) cabinet meeting).
I hope Ruby enjoys her day at work with you and moreso that the vet fixes her up like new!

Meatbird is in a bad mood.

I don't know what is going on with her! Yesterday she and the dog did their stare down contest through the fence (per normal).
Next thing I know, the dog is running away with her tail between her legs! Seems like Ms Meatbird gave a hard peck to the pup's nose. She looked quite proud of herself too...standing tall and watching the dog scoot away while holding her ground on the opposite side of the fence.

Then this morning, Meatbird and Picsia went above and beyond the normal chest bumping routine. She full on flew at Piscia with her feet out in attack mode. Piscia then returned in kind and then ran away from MB.

I thought it was over, but noooo! MB was holding a grudge and attacked (no one is hurt...looks scarier than it is) my Piscia two more times.

Piscia (who is beautiful and sweet, but not the brightest bulb) finally got the hint and stayed away for more than 3 seconds.

MB then excused herself from the others to visit the feeding station alone and yelled at everyone for being in her eyesight and for simply existing. :th

What is up with my normally go-with-the-flow Meatbird?
Do chickens get super moody before laying first eggs?
