If I had stayed at my first high school (a college preparatory school), I would have had to not just take, but pass 2 (or 3?) AP classes to graduate. Anything below a C- was a failing grade at that school. There were a lot of requirements for graduation. That was NOT the school for a "simple" person like me
but I did have a lot of good friends there. When I went, the school was only in its 2nd year of operation so there were only around 300 students, and pretty much everyone got along. It was nice. Then I switched to a school with regular graduation requirements, but 2000+ students and of course, there were the cliques. Can never have it all, I guess.
