Feathered legs plus topknots is why you get Silkies 🙂

Awwww that wee white one needs a trimming!

I had to pluck Holly’s cheek feathers, I don’t like the cut them I am too worried about their eyes.

From a couple of days ago. This is the roost I put in the big run so Maleficent and Aurora could avoid Lilly

They are resting in the warm house after Niamh has eaten her yogurt. It's 12°F (-11C) today. It will be hard to force them outside.

So cute. Gentles together 💕

Unless we're leaving the house we don't have the heart to make ours go outside.

We use rounded edge children's scissors... plus w/ two of us one holds the Silkie while the other holds the head while trimming. Neither of us handles trims alone! Mika is the only one we trim cuz she won't allow the other Silkies to pluck her eyebrows. Silkies, at least ours, trim each other's faces so we don't have to groom them.

Westcott brand... children scissors
