Flying Chickens

    What can anyone tell me about clipping chicken wings. It started with 2 of my hens flying up onto the fence and then into other yards and its as if the others are watching and doing the same thing. Also my rooster has turned into the rooster from you know where. He's become soo aggressive my grandkids aren't aloud in the run to help.

    Clip the long feathers on the second part of at least one wing (both is better), along line 1 in the image below.

    As for the rooster, there are articles on here about changing rooster behaviour. Most of the time, such methods appear to be unsuccessful, unless you have a great deal of time on your hands.

    Since there are kids involved, my favored method involves a nice, long, hot soak with carrots and celery.
