Hello I'm having issues with my fodder having a cheesy smell or at least the water that dribbles out of the bottom when I grab a tray to go feed smells like cheese. It smell EXACTLY like the first few days when you are starting a sourdough culture from wheat flour and water. I usually do a 24 hr initial soak is this too long? And I accidentally partially fermenting them?

Sounds like it. I had to bring my FF in the house during a freeze, and it smelled so sour!

I'm switching to an overnight soak to see if that helps. They don't seem to mind the fermented seeds lol but that's not what I'm shooting for :)
