Fodder system

    Makes sense to water all at once, but I think the buckets are too tall for the best light exposure.
    You can get 2 1/2 or 3 gallon buckets that are the same diameter as 5 gallon but shorter.

    Good point, Aart. I don't know if you need much light if you are only sprouting for chickens. Mine don't like the sprouts too long anyway. But I really am not sure how much light they need in the beginning.

    Oh, well, it said for fodder, which is usually means green growth I thought.....not just sprouted.
    For just sprouted it would be fine, though a shorter stack of buckets might still be of benefit.
