My 7 more. Old barred rock's foot is folded under. I have her quarantined until I learn what to do. Any advice? Thank you.

Is she walking with toes curled under? Sometimes that can be a sign of vitamin B2 or riboflavin deficiency, and sometimes it can be a sign of Mareks disease. I would start her on some poultry vitamins right away to see if it makes a difference in the next few weeks.

Thank you for the replies from you and Chickens are Sweet. I have started her on vitamins and rest in a big cage in my back room where she won't get pecked anymore. From everything that I read, I don't think she acts like it's Mereks. Is the feed I give them not nutritious enough that they get those vitamins? Not sure about the paralysis, but when she started limping, it looked like it was due to a problem with her hip or thigh. We just gave away an over zealous rooster. Could he have injured her? I have 19 other chickens, I don't want the same thing to happen to them.

You are welcome. Some feeds can sit on the shelf longer than others--the longer they sit, the more quickly the vitamins and minerals can degrade. Also, there could be certain vitamins lacking in the feed, or the chicken doesn't absorb them well. A lot of chicks can get those problems from a deficient mother hen. Here is a good link on vitamin deficiencies:

Here are 2 good links on Mareks just so that you know what to look for in case it turns out to be that (hopefully not.) Look at all 18 pictures in the partnersah link:

Could you post a photo? Does it look like the foot is broken, or are just the toes curled under? Giving vitamins is a good idea, as is plenty of rest in a well-bedded cage.
