Food and mice/rats/varmits??

    How do you 'free choice' feed and keep the varmits out of the coop? Do you have a 'drop' tray to catch the waste from the feeders, do you clean it all up and move the feeders at roost time or do you just not worry about the varmits?? Thank you..Dixie

    I regulate all my birds feed, they only get a certain amount each day, and I feed on the ground for them to scratch. They eat it, then there is nothing left for any mice. I also put all my feed in sealed plastic containers to keep out the vermin. As for dealing with mice, I trap them myself, that way I can feed them to my chickens as a treat. [​IMG]
