Food and water in coop question...

We are building a Wichita coop and run. The girls will be in the run from sun up to sun down and in the coop at night. My question is- do I put a food and water source in the coop (for them at night) or only in the run?

Will they have access to the pen all night or will you lock up the poop door? I only keep food in my coop. The water is in their pen which they have access to 24\7. I do the DLM in their coop so I sprinkle food on the ground to promote scratching to turn and aerate the litter bedding. Hope this helps.

I would say in the run my chickens don't really get up at night.
