Being very new at this, I have read myself to the point of confusion. Are there any feed brands that you would recommend over others?
Are there any to really avoid? I have read good things about "Purina" and 'Dumars". Any advice would be appreciated from someone with first hand experience..as I have none. Thanks

I prefer Dumars but i also get my own feed made at a local feed store.

I'm sure someone will disagree with me, but I don't worry so much as brand as what I need for the type of bird I have. I would say as long as it's clean, dated fresh, and had the required nutrients, you should be fine. If you have show birds you may think diffently. That's just me though. I get mine from my local feed store, thier brand. It's always fresh. Some people love TSC stuff, but I also heard of some folks who say the store is dirty and bugs may be in food. Our local TS store is very clean so that hasn't been a problem here. It just really depends. I would just stick to what I mentioned before. But do what you feel is best.
