Food & Water in coop, run or both?

Hello All,
So my 5 girls have been in their new coop & run for 4 days now, and I have been keeping them in the coop overnight, with out food & water, that stays in the run....But in the morning when I open their door, they rush the food dish and STUFF themselves! One was even inhaling the food this morning, then sneeze/coughing it out!
Do I need to put it in the coop too? Or are chickens just naturally piggies?

If I were to fall and die in my chicken run my chickens would eat me. Yes....chickens are pigs.

ETA: My coop and chicken run are inside a larger chicken yard. The food/water are in the chicken run and I leave the chicken door open so they can come and go. I do this to keep mice out of the coop. However, please note, the covered run is inside a larger fenced in chicken yard for added protection.

Water should certainly be available 24/7. I personally feel food should as well.

I do both. If I'm late letting them out in the morning, they do eat and drink.

I keep water and feed by their side at all times...If you keep feed and water by their side at all times, they will not be pigs...
