Food?

I bought chicken starter but it looks awfully large for day old chicks.. Should I grind it smaller? Or add water to make a paste ? For the first few days?
It's only day 18 of incubation so I have a few days still.

Is it whole pellets or crumble?

I have OEG bantam chicks and they eat it just fine with no grinding needed.
