Foot wound?

Please help my indoor chickens.....

They have black spots growth or wound on their feet .... been placing betadine and also oregano extract on their feet... not only on their feet there seems to have white spot on their comb / wattle. Multiple chickens involved. 2 pullet 5 month old, 3 2month old. They are currently indoor with the green plastic screen as their flooring. They seem to not limp, still eat/drink good.

Looks like Dry form Fowl Pox.
It's a virus mostly spread by mosquitoes and will usually run it's course in several weeks.

Keep water stations sanitized and be careful not to disturb those scabs when you apply your betadine, disturbing the scabs can cause it to spread.

If they are eating/drinking that's good.

You can paint the lesions with betadine it may help dry them up, just don't pick at or rub the lesions.

I have read some say to feed black pepper for fowl pox? Can i mix that for as young as my 6week old up chicks beyond? Is it effective?

I don't know anything about feeding black pepper.

Gave each of them black pepper, asked someone if there would be side effect if they intake, said none. So just tried since no harm, even if it cannot cure the poxvirus. Some just said it helped dried the scab faster. Thank you very much.
