One of my student's moms sent me this in a text message today, it made my day so I thought I would share with my fellow teachers on BYC and those who like and appreciate their teachers. Those of you who are anti-teacher and education please move along quietly.

I definately had some teachers that were the epitome of the word "Teacher". I think about them often, and of the things they taught me, the patience they had, and the joy they had in teaching.

Who the heck is anti-teacher or anti-education!?!?!?! Seriously? Please don't say you actually get anti-teacher comments!

I can still remember every teacher's name I ever had and stories to go with them. There were several "grumps", but mostly I have fond memories. Many of them gave me more attention than my own mother. I invited a high school counselor to my wedding years ago and she actually came, I was thrilled! To this day, if I had a daughter, I would probably name her after that counselor, she meant so much to me.

That was very thoughtful of your students' mom to send that to you. Very nice.

Good for you Writer. Isn't it great to feel appreciated?

I just turned 50, and mostly have great memories of my teachers.

Teachers have one of the most important jobs, they help shape the future! And for that they are paid peanuts.

Thank you, I thought some would like that. It leaves a blank space so you can insert a name if you want to print and use it.
