Here are the Snickerdoodle instructions for ya, CityGirl...

    Cookie Mix

    2 3/4 c. all purpose flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp baking soda
    2 tsp cream of tartar
    1 1/2 c. sugar

Layer the ingredients in the order given into a wide mouth 1 quart canning jar. Pack each layer in place before adding the next ingredient.

Attach a gift tag with the mixing and baking directions (below).

    1 jar cookie mix
    1 c. butter, softened
    2 eggs, slightly beaten
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 T. cinnamon

Preheat the oven to 355*F. In a large bowl, cream the butter until light, add the eggs and beat, until the mixture is smooth. Add the cookie mix and continue to beat until dough begins to form. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and roll in the cinnamon-sugar blend. Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until light tan. Transfer to wire racks to cool. Makes 4 to 5 dozen cookies.
