I highly recommend the Firefox series.

These books cover just about everything you can imagine when it comes to homesteading and trying to live off of the land.
They're also fun to read, with personal stories from people who have experience in just about everything.
There's also tons of how to chapters with lots of pics and diagrams.

I would suggest just getting the first book in the series to see if you like it, and the format.

I am looking these books up and they look very interesting. I will see if I can find a lot of them used for my reading pleasure.

My husband has those! They're so goofy to read. But interesting for sure.

Very interesting read of how it all got started!

The entire book collection is $216 (12 volumes), and they even have a magazine you can subscribe to.
